Pendulum Work

The physics behind a pendulum resemble similar motions created by water. A ship in rough weather depicts a pendulum in an open space. This is the reason for my recent exploration into pendulums.
Depicted below are cobblestones from the surrounding cities of Groningen, Netherlands. They have specific textures from walking that took place as they were in the ground. During construction, I took some and observed them. By using light, the textures are shown more obviously.
While the pendulum moves, a person is walking above the surface of the rock, insinuating that it's still a walkable surface. The stone moves at a slow pace, back and forth, simulating a persons step.
